Our Story
How our truffierre began.
Truffiérre Archeologico’s story begun 8 years ago when Robert & Jennifer Preston fearlessly embraced a new and ambitious challenge to create the truffierre despite their non-farming backgrounds.
Before they embarked on their truffle-growing journey, the land had experienced minimal farming activity for the last four decades.
Truffiérre Archeologico came into existence out of their profound appreciation for fine cuisine and an unquenchable fascination with truffles.
Our journey so far.
The first French Oak Trees were meticulously planted seven years ago, followed by a secondary planting six years ago, with each selection made with the utmost consideration for optimal growth and truffle production.
After years of nurturing, our truffierre yielded its first precious truffle a mere three years ago. Whilst the initial harvest was modest, it signified the promising potential of our truffierre.
In 2023, we achieved a remarkable milestone when our truffierre reached commercial harvest levels.
